About the album

The solo debut of Rodrigo Leão – here with the Vox Ensemble – happened when the Madredeus career was booming. With «Ave Mundi Luminar», Rodrigo established his own universe, joining the noble aspect of those voices singing in ancient latin to orchestrations of a very subtle modernity that touched on a more universal vibration than the one that animated Madredeus. Songs like «Ave Mundi», «A Espera» or «Carpe Diem» translated a new way to look upon the world that Rodrigo could not have explored within Madredeus or Sétima Lehião, maybe a more universalist look. Certainly a more personal one.
